From the Romans to the natural world, The National Poo Museum exists to safely explore the amazing world of poo. Through our unique collection and displays, we use quirkiness and family-friendly humour to break through the poo taboo so we can engage, entertain and inform our visitors. We want you to explore the world’s stickiest subject with us, our aim is to change how you think about this most astonishing substance.

We have specially designed and made an array of exciting interactive displays that allow YOU to lift the lid on the astonishing secret world of poo in a variety of engaging ways! There are things to sniff, handles to turn, pipes to talk through, buttons to press, and of course a huge collection of preserved poos to get up close to!

We have a splendid array of wonderful crystal clear spheres featuring carefully encapsulated poo made by animals from all over the world!

Illuminated Aquarium: Witness a stunning illuminated aquarium featuring free roaming preserved poos from members of your community. Join us in making poo visible and beautiful to eradicate the stigma. The exhibit’s first tour will take in the local libraries on the Isle of Wight and from there travel around the UK, gathering more poos as it goes!
